At Abakhan Self Storage, we aim to make your storage experience simple, secure, and stress-free. Below you’ll find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. If you require further assistance, our team is always happy to help.

Is there a minimum rental period?
The minimum hire period is four weeks. We aim to keep our terms flexible while ensuring fairness and availability for all customers.
Is there anything I cannot store?

What are your opening hours?
Our storage facility is accessible 7 days a week, 9am - 4pm.

How do I book a container?
Booking is easy. You can reserve a unit via this website or by phone.

What is the cancelletion policy?
The notice is just 4 weeks & must be notified by email.

What documents do I need to rent a unit?
To complete your booking, we ask for valid photo ID (such as a driving licence or passport) and proof of address dated within the last 3 months.

How do I pay for my storage?
We accept payment via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or standing order. Payments are typically made monthly in advance.

What about a padlock?
We provide each customer with a high-quality, reinforced steel padlock at no additional cost. Your belongings deserve the best protection, and our padlocks are selected for strength and durability.

Do you offer a multi-container discount?
Yes – if you require more than one unit, we’re happy to discuss a tailored package. Simply let us know your requirements, and we’ll work with you to offer the best possible deal.

Are any items prohibited?
Yes. For health, safety and legal reasons, items that are illegal, hazardous, perishable, or living are strictly prohibited. This includes flammable materials, firearms, and animals. A full list of restricted items is available in our rental agreement or upon request.

Will anyone else have access to my container?
No. Each container is solely for your use. Once secured with your padlock, only you hold the key – ensuring complete privacy and control over your unit.

Do I need insurance?
Most standard home insurance policies do not cover items stored off-site. We strongly recommend that you arrange separate cover or take advantage of Abakhan’s own insurance package for added peace of mind.
